A heartfelt shout out to my friends at Mianus TU for hosting me last night. Good crowd, lots of familiar faces, and a very positive energy in the room made the evening a success. I’m really liking how “The Little Things 2.0” is being received, and it’s a fun presentation for me to make.
My favorite question was, “When are you going to do some more tying videos?” The answer is yes. Keep on bugging me. Sooner or later I will bow to the pressure.
See you tomorrow night, Thursday, October 13, 6:30pm at the Hammonasset Chapter TU, “The Little Things 1.0”. The original “Little Things” presentation, packed with tips, tricks, and strategies to help you catch more fish. Quinnipiac Watershed Association Building, 540 Oregon Road, Meriden, CT. For more information and directions, visit hctu.org.
Remember, don’t be a meatball. Red light at night.
Hi Steve – could I please add my name to the list of Currentseams readers requesting more fly tying videos? I would be particularly excited to see some Steelhead fly tying videos – perhaps the Steelhead Marabou Stinger pattern as an example which looks great 🙂 I am sure the videos are time consuming to produce and I know you are incredibly busy with a lot on your plate already… However, the videos you have already made are fantastic, and a few more on steelhead patters would be fantastic 🙂 Thank you for all you have already posted to the site – it is packed with great information. All the best for fun and productive Fall fishing… Matt B
I really need to go fishing. Thanks for the kick of the spurs, too.
Thanks for coming last night. I was recently night fishing for Chinook on Lake Ontario and saw blue lights at night. Very irritating. A real meatball. Just today found and read your recent article on soft hackles for stripers. Great pictures of the soft-hackle flies you tie and fish some of which I won at the 300 members mark for your blog. Lucky me.
Lucky me to have people like you coming out to hear me speak. Thanks!
Great presentation last night! Entertaining and useful info, always a good combo. I’ll keep bugging you about the videos. 👍
Fair enough. And I’ll keep telling you that fish are not very smart. 🙂
