Farmington River Flow Bill 5355 Passes!

Yes!!! Hooray!!! Yahtzee!!! (Or, insert your favorite over-the-top-celebratory interjection here.)

That’s right, folks. Dancing days are here again. I don’t have the specifics on how the dam releases will be managed, but when I do, I’ll surely get them to you. This hopefully puts an end the MDC madness. And may I say to the MDC, with the utmost sincerity, don’t let the door hit your corporate weasel ass on the way out.

I am not sure this means what you think it means.
To my understanding 5355 just gives DEEP a more active seat at the table in the flow discussion. There is no insurance of flow levels and much of teeth the original bill had was removed.
Primary control still resides with the MDC.
The only reason we have reasonable flows right now is a handshake agreement between the MDC and the Army Corp.
Now measures like 5355 among others has put significant political pressure to help make this happen but we still have a long way to go and the MDC will be a big part of that process.
I would happy to introduce you to Tom Carpenter from TU who was one of the authors of the bill.
    Sorry to be a pain.
Would still love to get together for a drink.

Everything’s still here. Have you used the search function (the magnifying glass icon)? For example, I just typed “Build wet fly team” into the field and was immediately connected to a number of articles.
