A half dozen each of soft hackles, wingless wets, winged wets, and fuzzy nymphs for an upcoming article. Counter-clockwise from upper left: Partridge and Light Cahill, Grizzly and Gray, Dark Hendrickson, Gold Ribbed Hare’s Ear.

    Those look mighty tasty! What is the body of the grizzly and gray? If it’s not top secret, thanks.
    I’ve been doing very well with a PT and partridge lately. So simple, yet so irresistible.

      Hi Mina,

      No secrets. That’s an old legacy pattern. Tail and hackle are grizzly hen, fine silver tinsel, black thread, and muskrat fur. Certainly you could use any kind of gray fur. Rabbit comes to mind.

      I would think that it would work just fine, thank you, for Hendricksons.
