An exquisite jewel of a Farmington River brown, taken on a tiny soft-hackled bead head pheasant tail nymph. Although I was nymphing under an indicator, I was letting the flies swing up at the end of the drift. That’s when this fish hit. What a gorgeous creature.

a sight for sore eyes
Indeed. I don’t take a lot of pictures of the fish I catch, but this one was too lovely to pass up.
Way to be Steve. I envy you. It’s longbows and dog training for me until we get a bit of a break in weather.
Wanted to go striper fishing last night, but didn’t like the cold wind that was blowing all day. I am lucky to live where I live.
Yeah, Me too. While training my dog this morning a whitetail got out of its bed 20 yards away, less than 50 yards from my house. You’ve got to love that.
